Terry Riley’s In C
The Juilliard School - 2016 & 2023
In 2016 the Center for Innovations in the Arts at the Juilliard School reimagined Terry Riley’s iconic “In C” for its 50th anniversary. This year, we restaged it again, but as the first ever telematic collaboration between The Juilliard School in New York and The Tianjin Juilliard School in China. I designed the telematic systems we used to perform the piece and keep it in sync on both sides of the globe, as well as the interactive visual content. Watch Now on YouTube.

The Juilliard School & Stauffer Academia - 2023
I wrote this piece for telematic string quartet, electronics, and interactive dance. It was premiered at the 2023 Beyond the Machine Festival, presented by the Center for Innovation in the Arts at The Juilliard School, featuring dancer Kaylin Maggard and quartet members KJ McDonald and Marcus Stevenson of The Juilliard School in New York, as well as Jingzhi Zhang and Martino Simionato of The Quartetto Goldberg in Italy. Vernal Periphony
Immerse! 2022
Written for Immerse! 2022, this piece honors the pioneering three-dimensional sound work of Michael Gerzon as well as celebrates the Vernal Equinox. Featuring players at different coordinates all around the world collaborating live with a visual score, this piece seeks to bring people together on one of the two days each year where everyone on Earth enjoys the same amount of daylight and nighttime.
